David Sawyer

Elected Experience: David Sawyer has served as your State Representative for the past six years.

Other Professional Experience: Sawyer fights for fairness on behalf of consumers and injured workers on civil justice issues at one of the top law firms in the region – Sadler Ladenburg (sadlerladenburg.com). He is privileged to work alongside attorney John Ladenburg, Sr., who served as Pierce County’s former elected prosecutor and executive.

Education: Central Washington University graduate. Washington State Bar Association lawstudent, APR 6. Studying for the Washington State Bar exam.

Community Service: Volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Big Brothers Big Sisters. Worked as an organizer for Barack Obama’s first election.

Statement: Sawyer is the only candidate with a track record of results that has increased access to higher education, better jobs and a stronger quality of life for the people of the 29th District.

Joint Base Lewis-McChord is the largest employer and why Sawyer will continue to fight for service members who fight for us. Sawyer also supports more open government and stronger accountability in the Legislature. That’s why he voted against legislation giving state politicians more secrecy. He also fought against unfair car tabs and property taxes that hurt working families trying to build a better future.
